Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Wimbledon

This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Man with Van Wimbledon has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our relationships and to implementing effective systems and controls that safeguard against any form of modern slavery.

Our Commitment and Zero-Tolerance Policy

Man with Van Wimbledon adopts a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation in any form. This commitment applies to all aspects of our operations, including the provision of man and van services, recruitment of staff, use of subcontractors, and relationships with suppliers and other business partners.

All managers, employees, agency workers, and contractors are required to uphold this policy and to act promptly if they suspect any breach. We will not knowingly engage with any organisation, supplier, or individual that is involved in, or complicit with, modern slavery or human trafficking.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Wimbledon provides transport, removal, and related services. Our supply chain includes, but is not limited to, vehicle leasing and maintenance providers, fuel and equipment suppliers, storage facilities, recruitment and staffing agencies, and other logistics partners.

We recognise that risks of modern slavery can exist at various levels of the supply chain, particularly where subcontracted labour, low-skilled roles, or outsourced services are involved. We are committed to identifying, assessing, and minimising these risks through robust controls and continual engagement with our suppliers.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We expect all suppliers and subcontractors to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery. As a condition of working with Man with Van Wimbledon, suppliers are expected to:

Operate in full compliance with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws; Prohibit forced, bonded, or involuntary labour; Ensure that all workers have the right to work and are engaged on fair terms; Maintain transparent recruitment and employment practices; Provide safe, respectful, and non-discriminatory working environments.

We conduct proportionate due diligence on new and existing suppliers where risks may arise. This may include requesting information on employment practices, auditing relevant documentation, and, where appropriate, carrying out site visits. If a supplier fails to meet our standards, or is unable or unwilling to demonstrate adequate controls, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the relationship.

Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing

Man with Van Wimbledon encourages a culture of openness where concerns about modern slavery or unethical practices can be raised without fear of retaliation. All employees, agency workers, subcontractors, and suppliers are expected to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking as soon as possible.

Concerns can be raised directly with a line manager or a senior manager within the business. Reports will be treated seriously, handled sensitively, and investigated promptly and fairly. Wherever possible and appropriate, we will maintain confidentiality for those who raise concerns in good faith. Victimisation or retaliatory action against individuals who report concerns will not be tolerated.

Training and Awareness

We are committed to ensuring that relevant members of our team understand the signs of modern slavery and how to respond to concerns. Training and guidance are provided to managers and staff whose roles involve recruitment, supplier management, or direct oversight of workers. We also communicate our expectations to suppliers and contractors and may request confirmation that they provide appropriate training within their own organisations.

Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery is dynamic and requires ongoing vigilance. Man with Van Wimbledon will review this Modern Slavery Statement and the effectiveness of our controls at least once every year, and more frequently if there are significant changes to our business or the regulatory environment.

Our annual review will consider any reported incidents, outcomes of supplier checks or audits, feedback from staff and stakeholders, and developments in best practice. Where improvements are identified, we will update our policies, procedures, and training to strengthen our approach.

This Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Wimbledon and represents our ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain.
